At this afternoon's IWA:Mid South event in Hammond, IN, IWA:MS promoter Ian Rotten claimed that CM Punk has signed a deal with the WWE. Rotten said that Punk's final match before starting with WWE would be next Saturday, in Morristown, NJ for Ring of Honor. Punk is scheduled to wrestle Austin Aries for the ROH World title on June 18 - and although he has been booked for a Cyberspace Wrestling show a week afterwards (June 25), if Rotten's story is true, then Punk may have to cancel that date. Martin Hoffmann added that this is being report via live fan reports at the CZWfans.com website. [Thanks: Ian Hamilton & Martin Hoffmann]

According to Dave Scherer, Punk has not officially signed yet, but will be at the TV tapings this week to meet management. It is expected he will sign.
