Special In Studio Edition-A look back on Trish Stratus' WWE Career
Welcome aboard. Due to the Supershow held last Monday (Val Venis defeated Rob Conway in the only pre-show dark match) Heat comes to you yet again this week in recap mode. This week's theme is a tribute of sorts to the now retired Trish Stratus who bowed out last Sunday the right way on top of the Women's Division that she helped build. Here's what aired:
Unforgiven 2002: Trish regains the Women's Title for a third time from Molly Holly.
Highlights of a WWE Mobile Q & A session which featured Trish Stratus, Matt Hardy, Carlito & Super Crazy (worth a view)
The Trish, Shelton Benjamin, Vince McMahon spoof segment on other American sports that aired at the top of a Raw broadcast last year.
WrestleMania 19: Trish wins the Women's Title for a fourth time in a match also involving Victoria & Jazz.
Taboo Tuesday 2005: The Fulfill your Fantasy Lingerie Battle Royal for the Women's Title which Trish won.
Raw two weeks ago. Trish's final Raw appearance against Mickie James followed by Trish's farewell speech.
A Trish narrated video highlights package airs followed by narrated stills of her last match at Unforgiven against Lita.
Grisham and Coach wish Trish the best of luck as the show closes out to another video package of Trish while her theme music plays.
End of show.
There was no footage of Trish's early years in this show but the content that did air made this show the best special edition of Heat that I have seen. It was miles better than the DX vs McMahons reload that was shown last week. There wasn't a bad word said about Trish which was good. I hope WWE swiftly follow up on this and release a best of Trish DVD aswell as induct her into the Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2007. On a personal note I'd like to say once again thanks for the memories Trish and I wish you well in whatever you choose to do next. Thank you for all your Stratusfaction you've provided me over the years. Be well.
