A top pro wrestling tag-team is scheduled to make their All Elite Wrestling debut this week.
On Thursday, AEW released a digital exclusive featuring Lexy Nair interviewing The Grizzled Young Veterans duo of James Drake and Zack Gibson.
During the interview, The Grizzled Young Veterans revealed they will be squaring off against The Acclaimed duo of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens on this week's episode of AEW Collision.
"AEW is where the best wrestle and to be the best, you need to fight the best," Drake said in the video. "So, this Saturday live on Collision, the GYV make their AEW debut and we're coming to make a statement."
Gibson added, "Acclaimed, you two have been on our radar for a few years now. Two lads with unrivaled potential. But how you choose to use that potential, that doesn't sit right with us. Too caught up making your funny little jokes, too busy scissoring each other. You two are an embarrassment to this job that we love."
"So this Saturday on Collision, you two lads are going to learn a very, very important lesson from the veterans," Drake concluded.
The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. The Acclaimed joins previously announced matches, including AEW Unified Trios Champions Bullet Club Gold defending against Top Flight & Action Andretti, "Timeless" Toni Storm vs. Anna Jay, as well as the first interview with Swerve Strickland since capturing the AEW World Championship at this past Sunday's AEW Dynasty 2024 pay-per-view.
