The Hollywood Reporter Predicts MJF Will Be Among Next Generation Of Action Movie Stars

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Dave Bautista, John Cena ... and MJF?!

Could "The Devil" join "The Great One," "The Animal" and "The Greatest Of All-Time" as the next top pro wrestling star to make the transition into the Hollywood world of acting in movies and television?

The Hollywood Reporter thinks so.

Alex Ritman of The Hollywood Reporter released a feature on Wednesday dubbed, Next Action Hero: Meet the New Generation of Ass-Kicking Movie Stars

The sub-title for the op-ed piece reads, "As the Schwarzenegger-Stallone-Neeson era slowly draws to a close, here’s a look at 25 stars — some battled-tested, others not — who could fill the bloody boots of yesteryear’s action icons."

In the article, the aforementioned AEW World Champion and one-half of the ROH World Tag-Team Champions was listed in the feature, with his upcoming appearance in "The Iron Claw" with Zac Efron being mentioned.

Featured below is an excerpt from the article:

Maxwell Jacob Friedman

"Dwayne Johnson, John Cena and Dave Bautista have helped mark out a very well-trodden and star-studded path from wrestling ring to action film set. At 27, Friedman — better known MJF, the All Elite Wrestling champion whose seemingly naturally villainous and always entertaining ringside persona has seen him become a firm fan favorite as the so-called “People’s Scumbag” — could well be the next to make the journey and will soon be seen opposite Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming wrestling drama The Iron Claw."
