The first words from "The Icon" Sting and the follow-up to the inter-promotional angle between All Elite Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling with new AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega helped AEW Dynamite On TNT draw its' biggest audience so far this year for this past Wednesday night's show.
And the boss-man couldn't be happier.
AEW President & CEO Tony Khan took to social media this week to thank AEW fans for helping make the Wednesday, December 9, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite On TNT the most-viewed episode of the weekly television series in all of 2020.
"Thank you everyone who watched AEW Dynamite," wrote Khan via his official Twitter page after catching wind of this week's ratings for the AEW on TNT program. "It was our biggest audience of 2020 [plus] one of the biggest numbers we’ve ever done since our debut!"
From there, the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars reiterated the tag-line he used on social media several weeks ago when touting "the shifting of the balance of power in wrestling" was coming soon.
"The balance of power in wrestling has shifted towards you great fans who have started a Revolution," he wrote. "See you Live on Wednesday!"
