-- WWE's Johnny Gargano last appeared on WWE programming at NXT Stand and Deliver over two weeks which has led some people to wonder where he is or question his status with WWE. Fightfulselect.com reports that Gargano's absence is strictly injury related as the former NXT champion re-aggravated a shoulder issue that he originally injured back in January.
-- After being sidelined for much of that month, Gargano started off wrestling sporadically before ramping up his activity in March leading into WrestleMania weekend, however, his shoulder injury got progressively worse and by the time of his Stand & Deliver match against Grayson Waller, he was "severely hampered" by the shoulder and was basically wrestling with one arm. The hope is that Gargano can recover from the injury through rest and rehab with physical therapy rather than undergoing surgery.
-- The fightful report also notes that there was some speculation that Gargano's absence was related to the return of Vince McMahon as the two events coincided with each other, however, this isn't the case at all as McMahon actually directly communicated with Gargano in late 2021 stating that he wanted Gargano to remain with WWE.
