It was previously reported that a number of discussions have been taking place on how there have been plans in the works for WWE's NXT brand to undergo significant and major changes, which includes a new NXT logo, a new lighting and look, a different format to what was accustomed to the weekly WWE NXT TV show, and a focus on the younger talents.
According to recent reports, the new look for WWE's NXT brand as well as the other changes are coming this week, including the plan to tape shows in advance, especially following this coming Sunday's NXT TakeOver: 36 Event. The plan is to reportedly tape future episodes of NXT TV next Monday, August 23rd and next Tuesday, August 24th. It was also mentioned on the reports that NXT's taping schedule may be temporary, but they are definitely taping several episodes of NXT TV after TakeOver: 36.
The idea behind this is to reportedly revert back to what WWE NXT was several years ago when it was a developmental brand and reportedly due to the fact that Vince McMahon wants to focus on younger stars as the WWE Chairman wants them to look like they can headline a WrestleMania. This means that McMahon wants bigger wrestlers and he wants them to learn the WWE style and wrestle less like what is seen on the indie scene.
